Cheap Wedding gowns - White by Vera Wang

OMG I SWEAR I'm not in a "getting married mood"  LOL.  It just happens that three of my good med school friends are getting married in like a couple of months.  and  it is almost Vday LOL! Which means chocolates , even if your single...that means cheap after vday chocolate sale.  YES!

So Vera Wang came out with a cheap line for David's Bridal.  Which is awesome cause I LOVE VERA WANG GOWNS lakjdf;ajfjaf;aj.   Even for someone who's not into marriage or whatnot...who doesn't wanna dress up like a freaking princess lol.   BUT of course her real ones cost a  $83478374 dollars... just more than I can stomach to spend on ONE dress for ONE day.

Soooo when I heard they were coming out with a line that was going to be  under 2 grand for David's Bridal, the thriftiness in me was excited to see what they'd come up with.

All in all...I'm not too impressed =( .  It lacks a certain flair and attention to detail of her regular collection.

But I am impressed with the PRICE.   Here are the only ones that caught my attention:

1. Love the sweatheart , the lil lace straps,  and overall simple look, no fancy lace or frills and no fancy price either!  $700

$700

2. I would get ride of that weird bow in front.  But I like the sleeves and V neck on this one and the silhouette but I feel like you need to be very tall and slender to pull this one off right...

$800
3.  like the open back on this one and the buttons..not sure what the front looks like  and the bottom is really not my style though...reminds me of folded cupcake liners...
$1200
 3.  I'm usually not a fan of covered up shoulders and sleeves but I love the lace detail on this.  Again the bow is not really doing it for me and the bottom looks a lil plain for me.
$1300
Sigh, but when you look at her (clicky) actual collection (clicky) *drool*  it is SO much prettier.

What do you think of the White by Vera Wang collection?   Maybe when its OUR turn....in years to come, they'll have more exciting choices at the same reasonable prices no?

  1. Lol I think someone DOES want to get marry!! Lol! But I think her dresses look wonderful for the prices!!! I'm in love with the first one and the last one. Omg I love the heart shape neck and light sleeves. Ahh!!! And the last one looks vintage.

  2. @Chloe P.

I think i'm more excited by the shiny jewelry and dressing up than the actual marriage part of it all. And at only $700 i'd be tempted to buy one just to wear around when i'm bored LOL!

  3. Hmm... I agree, the first one looks the best. The huge disparity in price makes me question how much quality they sacrificed. Even then, these Vera Wang for David's Bridal dresses are prob still far better than other "regular" gown brands..maybe. (I'm no gown expert, lol) But whatevers, right? It's just for ONE day... I don't know if I could bring myself to pay $89849348 for a dress anyway, period. lol. I still don't know what kind of wedding dress style I'd want!

  4. Haha, I was about to say you are in the wedding-y mood too. I hope those weird huge bows are part of a gimicky theme and won't actually go on the dress, cuz if you take them off, the dresses look quite nice. I like #2 and #4 and the back on #3, pretty much what you liked too. lol. You're making me want to get married now. Just need to find me a hubby. hahaha
